Perth, are you ready for this jelly? The incomparable Adam Hall returns to FRINGEWORLD 2017 with the best reload of Queen Bey’s hot beats you’ll ever experience. The Rhythm Spectacular: The Music of Beyonce Reloaded is exactly what is sounds like – but so much better.

Hall’s band is hand-picked to perfection. They all bring an energy to the Speigeltent that shakes the tables and mirrors – it’s impossible not to dance! The band burst onto the stage running up the aisles in between audience members, instruments flashing under the lights. There is a sexy singer with a voice like honey and two bootylicious dancers, who bring all the sass and spirit of Beyonce’s own back-up dancers (fishnets and gold glitter and all!)

The energy is off the charts – the crowd ripples with delight as they recognise each rendition of a song, especially when sexy lyrics are given to male singers. The music is clever, who knew Beyonce’s music lent itself to so many jazz styles. Crazy in Love transports you to the underground speakeasy (and strangely enough the Cantina from Star Wars), Bootylicious goes off in an all-male rendition that (dare I say it) almost eclipses the original, Check On It gets the New Orleans treatment, funeral march included, and Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It) will get everyone up on their feet, single or not!

Hall’s showmanship is second to none – he’s the ultimate show off and rightly so! His cheeky little banter and explanations of the reboot each song gets provide the right amount of feel good vibes. All of the band members get their moment – this is not just about Hall, and the respect he has for each band member shines through in his praise. If you love Beyonce’s music or jazz or both or neither, you’re still going to love this show. It will get you up out of your seat and showing off those Bey-hive moves!
