The Australian Rugby League Commission, Football Federation Australia and Netball Australia have all been announced today as finalists at this year’s Australian Multicultural Marketing Awards (AMMA), to be held at the Sydney Opera House on Monday, 12 October.
Chief Executive Officer of Multicultural NSW, Hakan Harman says the level of engagement from sporting codes is testament to a sporting culture that encourages and embraces cultural diversity.
“The high number of entries from sporting organisations this year demonstrates how engaged Australian sporting organisations are in promoting multiculturalism. It’s really encouraging to see an industry that nurtures and encourages positive role models for all Australians grow its ethnic programs year on year.”
Among other finalists announced today are St George Bank, NRMA Motoring & Services, Illawarra Shoalhaven Local Health District and TAFE NSW – Sydney Institute.
The TAFE NSW – Sydney Institute’s ‘Going Global’ campaign gives TAFE students an opportunity usually reserved for university students, offering pupils an international, intercultural and global experience. The program offers study tours, work placements, exchanges and volunteering at partner institutes overseas.
Now in its 26th year, the AMMAs recognise top marketing campaigns from marketers, advertisers and agencies that speak to all Australians. Winners will be announced at the Gala Presentation Ceremony to be held at the Sydney Opera House this Monday, 12 October 2015.
Award categories for 2015 include – Big Business, Small Business, Arts and Culture, Communities, Youth, Communication, Public Sector and Education.
The national awards program also includes the SBS People’s Choice Award, which is awarded based on the public vote. Online voting is open now.
